Toys Review : Coarsetoys x Amanda Visell Last day of Autumn / Chop Chop

Coarsetoys x Amanda Visell : Last day of Autumn /chop chop

If I remember correctly it was Announced in 2015, and released in early 2016 (Shiver and Frenzy).

I remember when I first saw it, I told myself that…damn! I need to have these.

My lust for Last Day of Autumn was strong… until they finally revealed the price..

Regretfully I passed on the Shiver and Frenzy version.

Skip another (Almost a) year, Coarse announced the final colourway of this Toy, Chop Chop.

I was hesitating because of the cost but then, I took a plunge and purchased it

And so… when I received an email regarding the delivery of the toy, I’m so psyched.

It took about two weeks since the delivery for me to pick it up in the post office.

(Waited 2 hours, Argued with the custom office for their ridiculous custom fee mark up and finally paid the ransom money to have it released…in a not so good condition)

Hello post Indonesia

As you can see… It’s in a prime condition, preserved by POS INDONESIA…

Now, let’s see

look at that lock!!
look at that lock!!

The post office is very considerate…they even put a safety lock to my parcel ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Moving on…

nope nope nope nope nope nope

As you can see…the post office politely opened and sealed my parcel…very nice and professional of them!

I bet they enjoy stepping on puppies and kittens as well… was my first thought when I first saw my box condition…They really know how to make a toy collector cringe and pissed..

I mean…seriously, they could have done this better instead of defiling my beloved parcel with the duct tapes..

but enough of that… my complains might results in me being blacklisted …just because they can

Moving on…

Inside the box, it’s divided into two packages

even the tape is left...
even the tape is left…

By this time, I’m already concerned…and ecstatic at the same time..

I just can’t wait…. so , let’s start with the kids

children box

just look at that cute axe
just look at that cute axe
just look at them ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
just look at them ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Luckily none of them are damaged by the hands of the post office/r …

More of the kids

Girl ABoy B

Boy AGirl B

Each of them came with a base with a little magnet button on it to help the kids stand on their own. Oh, there’s also a magnetic button on the base of their feet as well.

Well, actually, they can stand without no problem, but a little nudge will make them fall, so the base is a solution for that.

At first , they kinda looked like the funko pop figures… but I think this is insulting to compare funko stuff with this figure…

The details on the kids are plenty (The girls’ panties are painted!( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))  , colours are vibrant and shows the Amanda Visell signature style of a coarse brush stroke.

Now, two more close up pictures

just look at the details

And Group Photo

o Hai there

As you can see, the kids are well sculpted and well painted. Their different pose gave the whole set a cheerful and innocent vibe while maintaining a dynamic feel.

All in all, they are excellent, their built quality and paint job is top notch.

Moving on… to the Tree we go!

It’s a huge box with a huge foam.

Several pieces of the tree and leaves are packaged in a plastic wrapping.

Sad Wood  back details

Now, the MVP of this set..As you can see on the photo above, the brushwork (or paintjob) is amazing, the texture can be seen flawlessly.

details on wood

The details on the hand, as shown above is outstanding as well; This can be covered by the scattered pieces.

All in all, the tree is beautifully done, it provides us with the the sad and submissive look as the children starts to surround him and chop him up!

Well, the backstory itself is pretty dark; Typical coarse work…

So…more photos

with Wooden Labbit
with Wooden Labbit, also Visell’s work(not included in this set)

o hai there

I think the photos I took last night is not enough… I’ll get back to it once I got the time to do a more proper photo shoot…and update this post later on

All in all, this is one of the best set of toy I ever purchased (this is saying a lot…)

The finishing is clean, the paintjob is excellent, and the whole theme is expressed thoughtfully.

Oh, and did I mention that the colour is the best among Frenzy and Shiver? It sure is!

However, one thing I don’t like is the base with the magnetic button on it, it kinda distract the whole set when displayed but it’s just a minor problem that can be solved….

oh, and that price tag…but It’s still worth it… The joy and satisfaction provided when appreciating this piece of art is priceless.
